At Ontario Medical Aesthetic Training, our mission is to provide high-quality educational services using leading products, techniques and knowledge.
We are honoured to be recognized by Allergan Aesthetics as a training leader and partner in delivering exceptional medical aesthetics training.
Training is provided by experienced nurses working in the medical aesthetic field. Our goal is to share our knowledge and expertise to help you succeed. We are pleased to have partnered with Allergan Aesthetics the makers of Botox Cosmetics and Juvederm Dermal Fillers to provide you with the #1 requested world wide aesthetic injection treatments during your training.
The Ontario Medical Aesthetics Training Centre was developed by Sarah Reynolds, NP-PHC, MScN after she experienced significant frustration with many training courses for nurses. She identified through feedback from nurses that most training did not support nurses to understand current legislative requirements and practice within the College of Nurses expectations. She recognizes that nurses have unique needs and concerns related to business practices and has built this into our training program.
Many classes are often large, which limits nurses hands on training and opportunity to become comfortable with injections, for this reason every class has a maximum of 8 participants , and a ration of 1:4 during hands on skills.
Sarah Reynolds is an advanced cosmetic injector and nurse practitioner with over 17 years of experience in the medical field. Sarah is a graduate of York University (BScN Honors Degree), Ryerson University (Primary Heath Care Nurse Practitioner, Deans List Member) and holds a Masters of Science in Nursing Graduate degree from the University of Ottawa. She is committed to continuing education and obtained her Facial Aesthetics Masters Certificate with the American Association of Medical Aesthetics and Surgery as well as trained with internationally renowned clinical experts.
As a Nurse Practitioner, Sarah has the legal authority to independently prescribe and oversee all aspects of your care and treatments. She is a member of the College of Nurses of Ontario, Nurse Practitioner Association of Ontario, American Association of Aesthetics Medicine and Surgery and International Society of Plastic and Aesthetic Nurses.
All training begins with a thorough review and discussion of the anatomical and physiological knowledge to safely provide medical aesthetic treatments.
We take patient and student safety seriously. This is why we educate on emergency procedures and practices, consent and documentation and safe injection techniques.
Our training is developed by nurses for nurses. We bring our supportive attitudes to our training and with each interaction with patients. We will assist you to understand the Ministry of Health, College of Nurses and Public Health requirements that will govern your practice.
We have had the opportunity to watch our past graduates flourish and grow as they enter the medical aesthetics field. Many have gone on to have successful independent practices or obtain employment within the medical spa industry.
